About

Mel (mid-30s) is going on a road-trip. She’s left her job, kitted out a van and she’s going to #vanlife her way up the east coast from Melbourne all the way to The Shoulder, a tropical banana farm in Cairns where she’ll wwoof for a bit before the next adventure. She says goodbye to her Psychologist and to her Flatmate before she hits the road, and then picks up a Hitch-hiker on the road. The usually by-the-book Mel is living her best life by embracing the no-rules nature of an endless solo road-trip. Or at the least she seems to be telling herself that she is living a life of freedom. Before she can make it to The Shoulder, the set of scenes cycle over again and these events of road-tripping play out again.

In previous developments, this play was more about doubles.
